Ruoka oli ok, mutta henkilökunnan käytös ei. Boomerang-alennuskortilla ei tullut laskuun luvattua alennusta ruuasta, ja tarjoilija sanoi hyvittäneensä alennuksen sen sijaan juomien hinnasta. Ostaessani toiset juomat toiselta tarjoilijalta, laskusta kävi ilmi etten ollut saanut mitään oikeaa alennusta ensimmäisestä satsista. Etukorteilla ei liene virkaa, kun asiakkaille valehdellaan päin naamaa. Toinen tarjoilija antoi etukorttiin kuuluvan alennuksen ruuasta jälkikäteen, mutta silti koko asiasta jäi tosi huono fiilis.

300 gramman pihvi oli hyvin paistettu ja seuralaiseni hummeri oli maukasta. Erityiskiitos hyvästä olutvalikoimasta ja kilpailukykyisistä hinnoista. Terassille paistaa aurinko pitkään ja paikka paranee varmasti vielä entisestään kunhan rakennustyömaa häviää näkymästä.

My first thought of the place was here we go another Australian bar in Helsinki, but this one is actually run by Australians, place has a great atmosphere and genuine aussie charm all the staff are super friendly and the food for this hungry vegetarian was really great. situated in a great location it backs onto the last platform of rauta asema and seeing the trains through the massive glass windows is a nice added feature. i havent even started on the beers, great selection of craft beers from camden brewery and the woolshed blends i cant remember where they are from but also from England, theres an IPA and a Blond both where comsumed with ease.

Olisin melkein voinut vannoa, että vielä aamusta ravintolalla ei ollut vielä yhtään arvostelua, ja nyt jo alkaen pari viikkoa sitten päivättyjä 5/5 arvosteluita on yhtäkkiä kymmenen?
No yhtä kaikki, Töölönlahden tietämille eli kivenheiton päähän Rautatieasemasta on noussut vaivihkaa varsin etnis-kirjava ravintolatarjonta; nepalia, kiina-aasiaa, meksikoa, pitsaa, ja ausseja, joista siis jälkimmäinen testipenkissä.
Toimisto-fasadin vastapainoksi sisätilat ovatkin sitten puuta ja aaltopeltiä, eli nimeä mukaillen vajateemaa lienee tavoiteltu. Yllättävän iso ja korkea paikka, joka ehkä korostui sunnuntai-iltapäivänä kun asiakkaita oli vain kourallinen. Seinillä sitten bumerangeja ym. aussi-memorabiliaa. Taustalla soi räppiä ja ärränbeetä. Töölönlahden puoli on vielä aika työmaata, mutta maisemavaihtoehdot tällä hetkellä läpikiinteistön ravintolassa joko Kirkkonummensuunnan lähijunat tai Elielinaukion bussiliikenne, kuten samaan aikaan sattuneen pariskunnan toinen osapuoli asian kiteytti.
Lista ei ole kovin laaja, mutta burgereita, pihvejä ja hummereita siltä löytyy. Ja joku salaattikin. Päädyin Woolshed Vege burgeriin, sillä jostain syystä en ehkä kiinnostavampaa Hipster-versiota noteerannut ollenkaan. Ehkä en jotenkin alitajuisesti voinut käsittää, että listalla voisi olla kaksi kasvisvaihtoehtoa? Kylkeen talon omaa siideriä (6e), joka oli ihan jees. Woolshedissä on näemmä after work arjen lisäksi myös viikonloppuisin kolmesta eteenpäin, jolloin hanatuotteita saa halvemmalla ja puna/valko/rose/kuohuviini 18e pullo. Terassin jollekin koirakaverille järjestyi oma vesikippo, eli koiranomistajiakaan ei käännytettäne täältä.
Ruuat tulevat metallivadilla ja "sanomalehdellä" kuten kuvistakin näkyy. Burgerin kanssa ei niin toimiva ratkaisu, kun leikellessä ruuan mukaan päätyy sitä selluloosaa, vaikka kuitu kai ihan tervellistä onkin. Hampurilainen tuli pöytään kansi auki, ilmeisesti sen korostamiseksi, että se oli voideltu puolukka- tai karpalohillolla. Villi veto, eikä välttämättä ihan huono sellainen. Noin muuten pysyteltiin sitten ihan ok –tasolla. Kasvispihvit lienevät itsetehtyjä, mutta niiden suutuntuma oli valitettavan tavanomainen eli mitäänsanomaton. Listan väite pihvien grillaamisesta ei ainakaan lopputuloksessa mitenkään erotu. Makuakin olisin suonut lisää, mutta ei missään nimessä mitenkään kaupungin heikoin esitys. Munakoiso oli jätetty turhan al denteksi, ja koko annoksesta uupui rasvaa ja suolaa, vaikka siinä halloumia olikin. Sämpylä hyvä, kokonaisuus ei kuitenkaan erityinen. Nälkä ei jäänyt.
Mukissa tulleet ranskalaiset olivat mallia mäkkäri, eli ohuita ja rapsakoita, ja lähentelivät arvioni mukaan täydellisyyttä. Lisukesalaatti sen sijaan oli turhan etikkainen, ja kokin juuri ennen pöytää siihen rouhima mustapippuri dominoi etikan ohella salaattia. Ehkä sen annostelun voisi jättää asiakkaan kontolle, semminkin kun pöytään suola- ja pippurimyllyt kiikutettiin aterinten yhteydessä?
Woolshedin varsinainen fokus lienee tuolla nimettömien arvostelijoiden hehkuttamalla 600g pihviosastolla, jonka tasosta en osaa sanoa mitään. Omaan suuhuni täyden vitosena arvostelut maistuvat kyllä taas vaihteeksi ”hei, avasimme ravintolan ja laitoimme kaverimme hehkuttamaan meitä” –meiningiltä. Joku semmoinen 3,5 tähden paikka mielestäni kyseessä, eli ei täältä pettyneenä tarvinne poistua, ellei sitten odottanut ennakkoon viiden tähden ravintolaa.
